상태동사 수동태

상태동사 수동태(Stative Passive)

좋아하거나 싫어하거나 소유를 나타내거나 혹은 정신적인 것과 연관 있는 동사들은 말 그대로 상태를 나타내기 때문에 상태동사라 한다. 대표적으로 be, seem, like, dislike, own, have, believe, know, imagine 같은 상태동사는 동작을 나타내는 동사와 달리 진행형으로 쓸 수 없을 뿐만 아니라 일부를 제외하곤 대부분 수동태에 사용할 수 없다. 상태동사를 이용해서 수동태를 만들려면 “be+상태동사의 과거분사형+전치사”의 형식을 취하면 가능하다. 보통 by이외의 전치사가 대부분이며 상태동사 수동태는 시험출제가 높으므로 전치사를 포함해서 숙어로 외워두자.
